The litigation department is headed by Me Rita Kettani.
The litigation department covers all branches of the law and also has a pre-contentious department.
- Pre-litigation:
We manage our cases by first seeking on a priority basis an out-of-court settlement and a speedy resolution, with the involvement of specialists having human relations skills, which is essential in the context of negotiation.
-
Litigation:
By managing not less than 30.000 cases continuously and a recovery portfolio of almost 20 billion MAD, the litigation department has a dynamic team acting swiftly and efficiently in a litigation environment sometimes difficult.
Our cases involve recovery of claims, assisting companies under bankruptcy, in addition to the resolution of all types of conflicts including civil law, commercial law, corporate law, labour law, maritime law, insurance law, aviation law, administrative law, criminal law, white-collar litigation or intellectual property.
-
Lawyers in the Litigation department represent both plaintiffs and defendants. The recovery department produces daily a large number of motions and pleadings, reaching the clients’ expectations.
-
Lawyers are actively following up on the notifications and the enforcement of judgments.
-
The department of labour law strives to protect the interests of our clients exclusively composed of employers. It does not only manage the temporary crisis (strike or lockout), but also the restructuring of companies by more or less drastic downsizing of its workforce, which leads to providing assistance in the negotiation and execution of the agreements and their implementation as well.
-
Before the beginning of the crisis, or at the time the client decides to dismiss employees, KLF advises on the best solutions possible, taking into account changes in case law. Furthermore, KLF assists its clients on labor matters since the establishment of the company (drafting of templates for employment contracts, internal rules of and general documentation).
The intellectual property law department is one of the oldest of the firm as it is true that counterfeiting has grown for decades and continues (probably to a lesser extent due to a new law and the GATT agreements).
-
The actions (sometimes striking) are conducted with a promptness that explains the good results achieved on behalf of a prestigious and demanding clientele. KLF was awarded as “Litigation Law Firm of the Year in Morocco” by ACQ Law Awards.
